| We got the results we were expecting but then the clutch gave out before we could hit the good numbers :-). Here is a run down on what happened: Jason's Car ~102-104 Degrees F in the dyno room 15 degrees TDC on car Runs 1-4 were at 1.35 Kg/cm^2 / 19.2 Lbs of boost on pump gas. Air fuel was 12.3 to 11.1-10.5 on the top end. We ended up with 517 Rwhp / 406 Ft/Lbs of torque ....The turbos weren't even breaking a sweat. Runs 5-8 were run at 1.70 Kg/cm^2 / 24.18 Lbs of boost on C12 race gas. Air Fuel was 12.0 to 11.5-11.0 on the top end. We ended up at 638 Rwhp / 498 Ft/Lbs of Torque....The turbos liked the 24 Lbs of boost but wanted more :-) Note: We were going to adjust the wastegates to run more boost later but never got to :-(. The car is set up to run 30 Lbs of boost alone and 25 Lbs with Nitrous. Run #9 was run at 1.35 Kg/cm^2 / 19.2 Lbs of boost with a 80 Hp Dry shot of Nitrous added. Air Fuel droped off the chart from 4500 Rpm on which we expected since the program is set uyp to run 25 Lbs of boost and not 19 Lbs. Here is the chart: Just a little rich ;-)
Run #10 was set to run 1.70 Kg/cm^2 / 24.18 Lbs of boost with the 80 Hp shot of Nitrous. As can be seen we never made a full run :-(. The clutch gave out. Here is the chart compared to #9: Roughly 45 Rwhp gain at 4200 Rpm already :-)
Sooooo...I guess after a year and a half on the same OS Giken clutch it decided 700+ Rwhp wasn't in the cards...LOL. This same clutch went though the SCC Street car challenge a year and a half ago so I guess it was time. A Couple of notes: NO Freezing of the intercoolers <---Yes side mounts Timing was at 15 Degrees TDC 100+Rwhp was gained from 19 Lbs to 24 lbs so....24 Lbs with Nitrous would have been fun to see ;-) With the wastegates set it would have out done Yacoubs 630 Rwhp on boost alone We will Dyno it again with a new clutch and timing tweaks and maybe even freeze the intercoolers ;-) More to come very soon ;-)
